Win #36 - Five-Nil over England

England suffered a blank against India while travelling for ODI matches during 2008. Unfortunately due to the terrorist shooting in Mumbai, the tour was cancelled after the five ODIs. The manner in which the Indians played the first five, the series was all set to be 7-0. Such was the dominance of the Indian team.

The Indian team wore a settled look with the likes of Sehwag and Gambhir at the top followed by Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, Yuvraj, Dhoni and Yusuf Pathan. Enough fire-power throughout combined with bowlers who knew how to ply their wares in the sub-continent. The English team had no answers and other than Kevin Pietersen, none of the batsmen had any clues.

Whether it was Rajkot, Indore, Kanpur, Bangalore or Cuttack, the result was the same. This was Dhoni's team that was carefully picked by him and Kirsten. The team had good experience in the conditions the team would face in the 2011 World Cup. This was good practice for the team and they did not squander the opportunity to rake up consecutive wins over the English. Without the presence of the legendary Tendulkar, the team would notch these wins.
