The Indians won the 2011 World Cup! 28 years dream was relived by the team - what a moment it was! Unforgettable. Hope we will have similar images to witness this year.
As Sachin Tendulkar in his latest advert remarks, he always had a dream of lifting the World Cup, not 25000 runs or 100 centuries. He fulfilled his vision at his home ground in 2011.
India were in the same group as South Africa, England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Ireland and Netherlands. Many had predicted India to be in the Top-2 of their group because of the presence of South Africa.
India did well to beat Bangladesh, Ireland, Netherlands, West Indies but tied with England as well as lost a close match to South Africa.
